Rebuild Joplin wants to bring more families home for the holidays

Rebuild Joplin has helped construct homes for more than 100 families affected by the 2011 tornado, and its 3rd Annual Home for the Holidays campaign aims to raise $250,000, which would be matched by rebuild partners to construct another 20 homes.

The group says it also benefits from those who give their time and talent.

"Every project that we run costs about $35,000 in material costs and the reason why we're able to keep the costs of the jobs so low is because of volunteers," says Thomas Corley, the Rebuild Joplin Director of Development.  "The average volunteer can save us in one weeks work up to $2,000 in labor cost - just one week."

Rebuild Joplin says about 100 families are still in need of homes.

And besides volunteering you can help with donations of cash or tools.
