Joplin Church Gives to Children and Parents for a Community Blessing

Updated:

Christpoint Church in Joplin gives away five hundred gifts to kids and their parents in the community.

The giveaway held on Saturday  at the church at 23rd and Annie Baxter, had no requirements.  Every child was to receive a toy while parents were given care packages of food and toiletries. Carl Junction police officers volunteered to help with the effort.

Pastor John Pennington says, "This is the Christmas season so we wanted to share the joy of Christmas not only to our church but also to our family this is what we call our ultimate Christmas experience."

And that ultimate Christmas experience will continue Sunday  with a church service at ten am - then at 6:00 PM the church will hold a Christmas dinner.
Its free and open to the public.
