Six Wildcats Earn All-Big 12 Honors from Various Outlets

Press Release Kansas State University: 

Kansas State defensive backTy Zimmerman, wide receiver Tyler Lockett and defensive end Ryan Mueller wereeach named an All-Big 12 performer by Athlon, ESPN.com and SportingNews, while Travis Britz, B.J. Finney and Cornelius Lucas picked upaccolades from Athlon as various organizations continue to release theirall-conference honors.

 

Zimmerman picked upfirst-team honors from Sporting News and was named to the second team byAthlon, while he was on the only team selected by ESPN.com. Lockett andMueller were first-team honorees by both Athlon and Sporting Newsand named to ESPN.com's All-Big 12 team. Additionally, Lockett was a first-teamkick returner by Athlon.

 

Athlon also named Britz, Finney and Lucas Second TeamAll-Big 12 performers as all six players were also named to either the league'scoaches or the Associated Press all-conference teams.

 

Kansas State takes onMichigan in the 25th annual Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, December 28, atSun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. The game, which kicks off at 9:15 p.m. (CT),will be televised nationally on ESPN.
