* Route 76: One-lane traffic between Route 39 and Barry County Route EE east of Cassville. Repairing roadway edges.

* Route 39: One-lane traffic over Brantley Branch south of Aurora. Bridge work.

Barton County

* No traffic impact

Bates County

* Route 18: One-lane traffic in areas between Drexel and Adrian. Trimming trees.

Benton County

* Route 7: Short-term traffic stops east of Route 65 near Edwards. Replacing drain pipes.

Cedar County

* Route 39: One-lane traffic near Stockton. Repairing roadway edges.

Christian County

* No traffic impact

Dade County

* No traffic impact

Dallas County

* Route 65: Lane closings between Urbana and Buffalo. Smoothing pavement.

* Route 64: One-lane traffic in areas between Plad and Bennett Springs. Trimming trees.

* Route PP: One-lane traffic west of Route 73 north of Tunas. Trimming trees.

Greene County

* I-44: One westbound lane closed west of Springfield. Mile Marker 62. Repairing guard cable. Work begins after 5 p.m.

* Kansas Expressway (Route 13): Lane closing south of Chestnut Expressway in Springfield. Pavement repairs.

* Various state routes: Short-term lane closings in Springfield. Filling potholes.

* I-44: NIGHT WORK – One eastbound lane closed east of Joplin. Mile Marker 14. Repairing guardrail. Work begins after 7 p.m.

* I-44: NIGHT WORK – One westbound lane closed east of Joplin. Mile Marker 11. Repairing guard cable. Work begins after 9 p.m.

* Route 249: NIGHT WORK – One northbound lane closed north of I-44 near Duenweg.. Repairing guardrail. Work begins after 11 p.m.

* Route 37: One-lane traffic south of Avilla. Smoothing pavement.

Lawrence County

* I-44: NIGHT WORK - One westbound lane closed east of Sarcoxie. Mile Marker 35. Repairing guardrail. Work begins after 5 p.m.

* I-44: NIGHT WORK – One eastbound and/or one westbound lane closed in Mount Vernon. Mile Marker 46. Repairing guardrail. Work begins after 6:30 p.m.

* I-44: NIGHT WORK – One westbound lane closed east of Sarcoxie. Mile Marker 37. Repairing guardrail. Work begins after 8 p.m.

* I-44: One eastbound lane closed over railroad tracks west of Mount Vernon. Mile Marker 43. Bridge work.

    The Joplin Fire Department responded to a fire at Triple R Recycling shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 (510 S Tyler Ave). Police closed several roads in the area to allow crews to fight the fire. The Joplin Police Department says multiple explosions from the fire were heard across town, resulting in additional 911 calls from concerned residents. Joplin Deputy Fire Chief Andy Nimmo says large barrels of aluminum powder could have caused the ...
