Baum Stadium, home of theArkansas baseball team, has been recognized as the 37th-best stadium experiencein the United States or Canada and as the No. 3 collegiate baseball experiencein the country by Stadium Journey, it was announced Monday.
Stadium Journey has reviewed morethan 1,700 venues from around the world and Monday released the top 100 beststadium experiences in the US and Canada, as well as a top-10 list for everyleague.
Stadium Journey recapped the BaumStadium experience by saying, "Baum Stadium is by far one of the best collegeballparks in the country. Like very few venues out there, it really does nothave a single weak point in any facet. If you ever find yourself inFayetteville during baseball season, you absolutely must make it out to a gameat Baum Stadium. If you pass up the chance, you really can't call yourself atrue baseball fan. The experience is that good."
The Razorbacks opened BaumStadium in 1996 and have an all-time record of 399-158 in the stadium. Arkansashas won at least 21 games at home in each of the last eight seasons, including24 in 2013. Attendance at Baum Stadium has ranked in the top five nationally ineach of the last nine seasons, and last year's average of 8,335 per game wassecond in the NCAA.
Arkansas opens the 2014 seasoninside Baum Stadium on Feb. 14 at 3:05 p.m. with the first of a three-gameweekend series against Appalachian State.
