Crowder College Dedicates New Jane Location

Updated:

A special ceremony for family and faculty was held at the new James B. Tatum Hall.

Members of Crowder College's Board Of Trustee's spoke on behalf of Tatum and his contributions to the new location.

Interim President Kent Farnsworth says Tatum was his inspiration for getting involved with the community college. He also said he could not think of a more deserving candidate for the hall to be dedicated to.

"We had to wait for the population to reach a certain size so the growth in Southern McDonald County has made it possible. We also wanted to get it built while JimTtatum was still on the board. The building is being named in his honor. He leaves the board after 50 years, so it's perfect timing."
