Shooting reported on OU campus; appears to be false alarm

Updated at 1:20 PM:  "At this time, there is no evidence that shots were fired," says OU President David Boren in a news conference.  "Classes are going on as normal in all other buildings except Gould Hall.  Additional search of Gould Hall is being conducted just in case.  It appears to have been a false alarm."

Updated at 12:15 PM:  Posted at 12:04 PM by the University of Oklahoma on their Facebook page:

"As of this time, no evidence has been found of any shots being fired. There are no injuries reported at this time. Both the Norman and OU police department have very quickly responded as well as emergency personnel. President Boren is at the scene. Normal campus operations have resumed except for Gould Hall where additional checking is continuing."

Posted January 22, 2014 at 11:44 AM:  Students at the University of Oklahoma received a notification about a reported shooting around 11:30 a.m. today.  Police received a report of shots fired and are currently searching the campus.  It is not known at this time if there is a victim or not.
