New baseball club wants a new name in move to Joplin

A new baseball club heading to Joplin wants locals to come up with the team's name .Officials

with the team and Joplin's Director of Parks and Recreation were on hand for a news conference Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings.

The team's general manager says they want to provide a competitive team and affordable family events.

A promotion is now underway to submit a name for the future baseball team.

Team officials say they're excited about the future.

"We need them to know what our community has for businesses, so they can grow, they can network, they can do a better job of providing services and products to our community," says Shawn Suarez, the team's general manager.
