Arvest Bank Launches Mobile Banking Alerts,iPad App

Expansion of mobile banking tools allows Arvest customers more access

JOPLIN, Missouri (January 24, 2014)— Arvest Bank announced today that the bank has expanded its mobile banking offerings to include mobile banking alerts and an application for iPad. Arvest Mobile Banking Customers will now be able to create text message, email and iPhone push alert notifications to manage their finances more efficiently, as well as access their banking information from their iPads.

Jason Kincy, marketing director for Arvest Bank, said, “Today our customers are more mobile than ever, and we want them to know Arvest Bank is doing everything we can to give them access to their accounts at all times. Mobile alerts are a great financial management tool. These alerts allow our customers to better manage their accounts and watch for unauthorized activity, while the iPad app provides one more place to access their banking information. At Arvest we want to help our customers manage their accounts efficiently and effectively, and these tools help do both. ”

Arvest Mobile Banking Alerts allow Arvest customers who are enrolled in Arvest Mobile Banking to create notifications that can be sent via text message or email, or arrive on their iPhone through a push alert. Push alerts are planned for iPad and Android phones later this year. Mobile Banking Alerts can notify customers when their account reaches a user-specified low balance, when a debit transaction is over a specific amount, when deposits or overdraft fees are posted, or when any check clears or withdrawal occurs. These alerts help customers keep up with their accounts in a timely manner, help minimize overdrafts, and watch for unauthorized or suspicious account activity. Alerts can be managed by Arvest customers using Arvest Online Banking or their Mobile Banking App. For more information, visit www.arvestmobile.com.

Tuition is still going up at Missouri Southern State University, but it's tweaking the cost increase to credit hours to avoid a state fine. Missouri Southern's Board of Governors approved a 15 percent increase in student tuition last April, upping credit hours by $30. But state education law doesn't allow tuition increases beyond the consumer price index. To avoid a $1.1 million fine, MSSU adjusted down the tuition increase to $20 more per credit.
