Wedding show brings brides and community to bed and breakfast in Galena

Updated:

Brides to be could find everything for the perfect wedding in Galena Sunday.

The Grace House bed and breakfast hosted a free wedding fair for brides, grooms and their family. Different vendors including photographers, cake decorators and even a horse and carriage were available. Bridal gowns were also available to purchase at a discount price.  But if you think today's show was just for brides, you are mistaken.

Organizers say the house serves many purposes--from the bride, to the out of town guests as well.

"it's perfect for any event, small weddings, reunions, parties, any kind of get together. We provide the catering  if you want us to. And it's also used for lodging. So if you need a place to stay right off Route 66, it's a beautiful home that sleeps 6 people." owner and organizer, Kay Deardorff says.

"I am close friends with several vendors. And we had a meeting and thought we need to help each other out...let's try to support each other, what can we can do to get us all more business and so we came up with this idea and it's been a success." Deardorff says.
