Snow Day Puts Mom in a Creative State of MInd

Updated:

With most area schools canceling classes that means plenty of kids are at home  wondering what to do besides play in the snow.
Mom Kristen Stremel and  her  son Alex pulled out the crafts and decided to work on a valentine box for preschool.
She also planned for making sugar cookies.
Her teenage daughter kept busy with homework but Stremel says with a toddler, its important to have some activities planned.

Kristen says, "Because being a very energetic 3 and half year old  boy, I have to do things in stages cause he loses interest after about 15 minutes, obviously, like they all do.  So if we do a little of this, little of that, we're good to go. And then I don't have to do anything  and can just  be mom for a few minutes and then I have to find something else."

Kristen says Alex is willing to play in the snow but that too only fills a short amount of time.
She says the family usually bakes on snow days and this time, its valentine cookies.
