Pittsburg State University head football coach Tim Beck has announced that 26 high school seniors have signed letters of intent to join the Gorillas for the 2014 football season. Additionally, one transfer has signed a grant-in-aid (scholarship) agreement and will join the Pitt State football team at the start of the Fall 2014 semester.
 

Here's a complete breakdown of Pittsburg State's 2014 recruiting class:

 

RYAN CARTER, 5-10, 195, FR, LB

Hometown: Westwood, Kan.
High School: Shawnee Mission East
H.S. Coach: Dustin Delaney
Honors/Stats: An honorable mention Kansas Class 6A All-State selection at linebacker as a senior at Shawnee Mission East High School in 2013… posted 175 tackles for the Lancers… helped East to a 10-2 record and the Class 6A state runner-up finish… a two-year starter for the Lancers.
Personal:  Born December 27, 1995… son of Paul and Tammy Carter.
Anticipated PSU major: management.
 

DREW DAWSON, 6-1, 185, FR, RB

Hometown: Pittsburg, Kan.
High School: St. Mary's-Colgan
H.S. Coach: Chuck Smith
Honors/Stats: An honorable mention Kansas Class 2A All-State selection as a senior at St. Mary's-Colgan High School in 2013… also a two-time All-CNC League performer (2012-13)… helped the Panthers to a 17-7 record and a pair of regional titles his final two prep seasons… rushed for a combined 1,100 yards and 21 touchdowns and made 132 tackles with seven interceptions in 2012-13.
Personal:  Born August 18, 1995… son of Darren and Bridhid Dawson.
Anticipated PSU major: plastics engineering technology.
 

CONNER DICKEY, 6-2, 240, FR, LB

Hometown: Grove, Okla.
High School: Grove
H.S. Coach: Dennis Millican
Honors/Stats:  An Oklahoma Class 5A All-District selection at linebacker as a senior at Grove High School in 2013… also an All-League the Ridgerunners… earned All-League honors at Chaparral (Kan.) High in 2011-12… averaged 100 tackles per season from 2010-12… battled a leg injury his senior season, finishing the year with 79 stops.
Personal:  Born July 5, 1995… son of Chester and Penny Dickey.
Anticipated PSU major: biology (pre-physical therapy).
 

DeMARCUS EDWARDS, 5-11, 195, FR, RB

Hometown: Lee's Summit, Mo.
High School: Lee's Summit West
H.S. Coach: Royce Boehm
Honors/Stats:  A second-team Missouri Class 6A All-State selection at running back as a senior at Lee's Summit West High School in 2013… carried the ball 122 times for 1,222 yards and 20 touchdowns… helped the Titans to a 13-1 record and the Class 6A state title… also a national caliber AAU decathlete.
Personal:  Born July 8, 1996… son of Darron, Sr., and Michelle Edwards.

TANNER EIKENBARY, 6-1, 190, FR, QB

Hometown: Kansas City, Kan.
High School: Piper
H.S. Coach: Chris Brindle
Honors/Stats: A two-time honorable mention Kansas Class 4A All-State selection at Piper High School (2012-13)… a three-year All-League performer (2011-13)… passed for 1,398 yards and 16 touchdowns and rushed for 358 yards and four scores as a senior for the Pirates… helped PHS to a 10-3 record, including a sectional title… compiled 4,187 career passing yards with 46 touchdowns and 413 rushing yards with six scores.
Personal:  Born September 23, 1995… son of Brian and Julie Eikenbary.

COLEBY EVANS, 5-10, 225, FR, LB

Hometown: Tulsa, Okla.
High School: Union
H.S. Coach: Kirk Fridrich
Honors/Stats:  A first-team Oklahoma Class 6A All-State performer as a senior in 2013… also the District Defensive Player of the Year… made 181 tackles his senior season, helping the Redskins to an 11-3 record… ended his decorated career with 404 stops, setting school records for most tackles in a game (23) and most tackles in a season (181)… helped Union to back-to-back 6A state titles in 2010-11.
Personal:  Born May 21, 1995… son of Carl Evans and Andrea Evans.
Anticipated PSU major: justice studies.

ETHAN FUGITT, 6-1, 230, FR, LB

Hometown: Oak Grove, Mo.
High School: Oak Grove
H.S. Coach: Pat Richard
Honors/Stats:  A two-time first-team Missouri Class 3A All-State selection at linebacker at Oak Grove High School (2012-13)… recorded 101 tackles (71 solo) with five tackles-for-loss his senior year… also rushed the ball for 1,334 yards and 20 touchdowns… helped the Panthers post a 22-3 combined record his final two prep seasons…
Personal:  Born June 23, 1995… son of Darin and Danielle Fugitt.

CAMERON GINTHER, 6-2, 220, FR, TE

Hometown: Atwood, Kan.
High School: Rawlins County
H.S. Coach: Deone Horinek
Honors/Stats:  An honorable mention Kansas Eight Man All-State selection at defensive line as a senior at Rawlins County High School in 2013… recorded 92 tackles with 18.0 tackles-for-loss and five forced fumbles… also caught three passes for 31 yards at tight end… a three-year starter for the Buffaloes.
Personal:  Born December 7, 1995… son of Blaine and Erin Ginther.

JORDAN GREEN, 6-2, 275, FR, OL

Hometown: Webb City, Mo.
High School: Webb City
H.S. Coach: John Roderique
Honors/Stats:  A first-team Missouri Class 4A All-State selection as a senior at Webb City High School in 2013… also a two-time All-District performer (2012-13)… helped the Cardinals capture four consecutive Class 4A state titles (2010-13).
Personal:  Born June 5, 1995… son of John and Ruth Green.
Anticipated PSU major: physical education. 
 

ALEX JONES, 6-4, 290, FR, OL

Hometown: Lawrence, Kan.
High School: Lawrence
H.S. Coach: Dirk Wedd
Honors/Stats:  A two-time All-Sunflower League selection as an offensive lineman at Lawrence High School (2012-13)… also a three-time Kansas state wrestling qualifier.
Personal:  Born February 11, 1996… son of Adrian and Tammie Jones.

GARRETT LARSON, 6-2, 265, FR, OL

Hometown: McPherson, Kan.
High School: McPherson
H.S. Coach: Tom Young
Honors/Stats:  A first-team Kansas Class 4A All-State selection as a defensive lineman as a senior at McPherson High School in 2013… a first-team All-League selection at both offensive and defensive line… also an All-State powerlifter.
Personal:  Born September 1, 1995… son of Wesley and Tawnya Larson.

MATT MAGEE, 6-0, 165, DB
Hometown: Carl Junction, Mo.
High School: Carl Junction
H.S. Coach: Doug Buckmaster
Honors/Stats: A Missouri Class 4A All-State selection as a senior at Carl Junction High School in 2013… recorded 11 interceptions on defense… caught 61 passes for 1,001 yards at wide receiver… also recorded five kickoff return touchdowns… compiled 2,384 all-purpose yards his senior season… also a state medalist in track & field and a 1,000-point scorer in basketball.
Personal:  Born November 19, 1994… son of Monwell and Elaine Magee.

ETHAN MITCHELL, 6-3, 245, FR, DE

Hometown: Salina, Kan.
High School: Salina South
H.S. Coach: Sam Sellers
Honors/Stats:  A second-team All-League selection as a junior at Salina South High School in 2012… had his senior season cut short due to injury… Cougars posted a 10-3 record and finished as the Kansas Class 5A state runner-up in 2013.
Personal:  Born September 18, 1995… son of Paul Mitchell and Tracy Workman.

TJ MOLWAY, 5-11, 170, FR, DB

Hometown: Kansas City, Mo.
High School: Staley
H.S. Coach: Fred Bouchard
Honors/Stats:  A Missouri All-District selection at Staley High School as a senior in 2013… a two-year starter for the Falcons… made 34 tackles with four pass breakups his senior season… also a stand-out track & field performer.
Personal:  Born December 12, 1995… son of Kevin and Heather Molway.

DeANDRE MURRAY, 5-11, 180, FR, RB

Hometown: Springdale, Ark.
High School: Springdale
H.S. Coach: Shane Patrick
Honors/Stats:  A two-time Arkansas Class 7A All-State selection at running back at Springdale High School (2012-13)… named the 2013 Hooter's Class 7A Ofensive Player of the Year… rushed for more than 2,900 yards and 36 touchdowns… a two-year starter for the Bulldogs.
Personal:  Born March 19, 1995… son of Brennan Wynn and Joanna Murray.

SLADE NORDIC, 6-1, 190, FR, WR

Hometown: Bartlesville, Okla.
High School: Bartlesville
H.S. Coach: John McKee
Honors/Stats:  An Oklahoma Class 6A All-State selection at wide receiver as a senior at Bartlesville High in 2013… also the District Most Valuable Player … caught 79 passes for 1,376 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Bruins his senior year… also rushed the ball 18 times for 181 yards and one touchdown… compiled four special teams scores (three punt returns, one kickoff return).
Personal:  Born December 2, 1995… son of Ty and Amy Nordic.

LEVI PETERSEN, 6-1, 210, FR, QB

High School: Lamar
H.S. Coach: Scott Bailey
Honors/Stats:  A two-time first-team Missouri Class 2A All-State selection at quarterback at Lamar High School (2012-13)… the Class 2A Offensive Player of the Year in 2013… helped the Tigers to three consecutive Class 2A state titles from 2011-13… compiled a school record 6,326 career rushing yards… rushed for 2,300 yards and posted 40 total touchdowns his senior year.
Personal:  Born November 16, 1995… son of Bob and Julie Peterson.

CUA ROSE, 5-9, 175, DB

Hometown: Springdale, Ark.
High School: Springdale
H.S. Coach: Shane Patrick
Honors/Stats: A first-team Arkansas Class 7A All-State selection as a senior at Springdale High School in 2013… also an All-League performer for the Bulldogs… compiled 199 career tackles with 19 pass breakups.
Personal:  Born January 29, 1996… son of Marcus Rose, Sr. and Coretta Esaw.

Honors/Stats:  A two-time honorable mention Kansas Class 4A All-State selection at linebacker at Ulysses High School (2012-13)… also a two-time All-League performer for the Tigers… helped UHS to an 8-2 record his senior season.
Personal:  Born April 19, 1995… son of Chance and Kenya Rudzik.

TYLER STIFF, 6-3, 285, OL

Hometown: Liberty, Mo.
High School: Liberty
H.S. Coach: Chad Frigon
Honors/Stats: A second-team All-Conference and All-District selection as a senior at Liberty High School in 2013… a three year starter for the Blue Jays. 
Personal:  Born January 21, 1996… son of Scott and Angela Stiff.

DARIAN TAYLOR, 6-3, 200, DB

Hometown: Manhattan, Kan.
High School: Manhattan
H.S. Coach: Joe Schartz
Honors/Stats:  A first-team All-League selection as a running back and defensive back at Manhattan High School… recorded four interceptions his junior year… a two-year starter for the Indians… battled injury his senior season. 
Personal:  Born March 30, 1996… son of Rebecca Butry.
Anticipated PSU major: nursing.
 

GREYSON TEMPEL, 5-11, 180, QB

Hometown: Garden City, Kan.
High School: Garden City
H.S. Coach: Brian Hill
Honors/Stats:  A first-team Kansas Class 6A All-State selection and a Kansas Elite 11 honoree (All-State, All-Class) at quarterback as a senior at Garden City High School in 2013… named the Western Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player… accumulated 4,056 yards passing and 2,298 yards rushing with 69 total touchdowns (39 passing, 30 rushing) for the Buffaloes.
Personal:  Born September 13, 1995… son of Robert and Kristi Tempel.

Honors/Stats:  A second-team Oklahoma Class 6A selection at linebacker as a senior at Jenks High School in 2013… recorded a team-high 71 tackles and 18 sacks his senior season for the Trojans… helped Jenks capture back-to-back Class 6A state titles in 2012 and 2013.

STEVIE THOMPSON, 6-0, 195, QB

Hometown: Midwest City, Okla.
High School: Carl Albert
H.S. Coach: Gary Rose
Honors/Stats:  A two-time Oklahoma Class 5A All-State performer at Carl Albert High School (2012-13)… rushed for 1,956 yards and 36 touchdowns and passed for 1,495 yards as a senior for the Titans… helped Carl Albert capture the 2012 Class 5A state title.
Personal:  Born September 15, 1995… son of Donna Thompson.
