Bright Futures USA Welcomes Clinton, Mo. as 20th Affiliate Community

Joplin, Mo. – Bright Futures USA is excited to welcome Clinton, Mo. as the 20th Bright Futures affiliate community.

The Bright Futures initiative began in Joplin in 2010 and expanded throughout the region as a means of helping schools and communities connect to meet student needs.

Clinton is one of several Bright Futures affiliates in the state of Missouri. Bright Futures USA has a reach of over 90,000 students throughout Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and Virginia.

“We are excited to welcome Clinton to the Bright Futures family and we can’t wait to see the exciting and innovative ways they will implement Bright Futures in the Clinton area,” said Bryan Vowels, chairman of the Bright Futures USA Board of Directors.

Clinton is the county seat of Henry County and the Clinton School District serves around 1,800 students in its two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.

Bright Futures USA provides a framework that enables schools to engage businesses, human service agencies, faith-based organizations and parent groups to rally together to meet the needs of their children. This framework partners organizations with schools in a way that helps them to quickly and efficiently meet students’ basic needs, often within 24 hours.
