PSU Women Compete at UCM Mules Relays

Warrensburg, Mo. - The Pittsburg State Univesity women's indoor track & field team competed at the UCM Mules Relays Friday (Feb. 7).

Among notable performances, Cassie Caswell placed second in the shot put with a provisional qualifying mark of 44 feet, 9.75 inches. On the track, Casey Epps placed third in the 3,000 meters in 10 minutes, 39.24 seconds, while Emilyn Dearman placed fourth in the 600 yard run in 1:29.04.

Also Friday, a handful of Pitt State athletes competed at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational at the University of Nebraska.

Heather Glenn clearned 11-10.75 to place in a tie for sixth place in the women's pole vault, while Ramie Grayson was clocked in 7.81 seconds in the prelims of the women's 60 meters.

On Saturday, the Pitt State men's squad will compete in the UCm Mules Relays, while additional Gorilla athletes will continue competition at Lincoln, Neb., in the Husker Invitational.

     Defending MIAA regular season champion Central Missouri has once again been selected by the coaches to finish atop the league earning ten first place votes.
