Bronchos Post 80-72 Win Over Gorillas

Pittsburg -  Cal Andrews led four Central Oklahoma players in double figures with 21 points as the Bronchos posted an 80-72 road win over Pittsburg State Saturday (Feb. 8).

Andrews scored 15 points in the second half to help UCO (14-7, 8-6 MIAA) hold off Pitt State (7-13, 3-10 MIAA).

Josh Gibbs added 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Bronchos. He also dished out six of UCO's 23 team assists.

Devon Branch scored 21 points to pace the Gorillas, while Jake Bullard added 14 points and Josiah Gustafson finished with 10 points.

UCO led 40-35 with 18:07 to play in the game, but the Bronchos used a 13-2 run over the next five minutes to take control of the game.

Pitt State got as close as five points, 64-59, with 4:01 to play.

The Gorillas will start a four-game road swing Thursday (Feb. 13) when they travel to Kearney, Neb., to face the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
