Pittsburg App helps community by promoting events and deals in the area

It began with Groupon and other deals and steals websites...but now one has made its way to the Pittsburg area, and it's all managed by Pitt State students.

Cordell Duncan and Michael Saldivar began a Local Ruckous chapter around Pittsburg to emphasize the importance of events around the pittsburg community.

     
Many local businesses utilize the app and offer discounts and specials. The campus also uses the app to promote events that students may not usually hear about by word of mouth.

"{people don't really understand that and sometimes they don't really get it or don't know about events, and that's what we are here for. To let everyone know that there are free events, it's fun, it's entertaining, you can come support, show some love, and it all goes towards a good cause." Duncan says.

    The Jasper police chief is asking the county prosecutor to charge  an eighteen year old woman  with harassment for a video post on facebook.           He delivered a request for a felony cyber bullying harassment charge because the online video included minors.
