Tickets for the MIAA Basketball Championships at Kansas City's historic Municipal Auditorium are now on sale at the PSU Ticket Office.
The tournament format will remain the same as last year with first round play in games determining the eight teams participating in the rounds in Kansas City.
The top four finishers in the league standings will receive a first-round bye, immediately moving them on to the tournament in Kansas City. Fifth through eighth place finishers will host ninth through 12th place finishers on campus for first round games with the women playing on Monday, March 3 and the men playing on Tuesday, March 4. The winners of those games will then advance to the tournament in Kansas City with women's play beginning on Thursday, March 6 and the men on Friday, March 7.
The Pitt State women have solified a spot in the MIAA Tournament with a 10-3 league record and six games to go. The team currently sits in third place behind only Emporia State and Central Missouri.
The Pitt State men's team is 13th with a 3-10 league record, just half a game behind 12th place MIssouri Western.
Tickets for first round games will be available through the host sites only.
For the the Kansas City portion of the tournament, all-session passes, which allow access to all 14 games of the tournament, are just $50 if purchased through Pittsburg State. Passes purchased at the Municipal Auditorium Box Office will be $65.
Single-session passes are $20 and are good for any single session of the tournament. Both all-session and single-session passes can be purchased through Pitt State.
PSU students can purchase single-session passes for $5 (with valid PSU I.D.).
Children six and under will be admitted free of charge.
