NEO seeking nominations for Outstanding Alumni

Miami, Okla. – Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 – Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO), is seeking nominations for distinguished NEO alumni for the 2014 Outstanding Alumni Awards.

Sponsored by the NEO Development Foundation, the Outstanding Alumni awards honor graduates and former students who have distinguished themselves as leaders and innovators in their careers and the community.

"The community is encouraged to nominate an alumnus they feel is worthy of this special recognition," said Jennifer Hessee, executive director of the NEO Development Foundation. "Nominated individuals may be a leader in his or her field, an involved community volunteer, loyal NEO supporter, or in some other way deserving of this recognition."

Three outstanding alumni and one merit recipient will be selected. As part of the honors, each will be formally honored during NEO's homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 11. Recipients will serve as dignitaries in the annual homecoming parade, honored during the Alumni luncheon, and recognized during the football game.

    JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Republican Gov. Mike Parson has named state Treasurer Eric Schmitt to replace Sen.-elect as Missouri's attorney general. Parson appointed the 43-year-old Republican on Tuesday. The attorney general's seat will be open once Hawley joins the U.S. Senate in January. Hawley unseated Democratic Sen.
