Suspect in custody following shooting in Labette County

Updated:
A suspect is in custody following an early morning shooting in Labette County, Kansas.

Authorities say William Scott, 28, was transported to the Parsons hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators determined that Scott had been shot with a small caliber handgun during a dispute at a home in Dennis, Kansas.

A suspect was identified and taken into custody without incident.  Charges have not been filed and the suspect is being held without bond pending review by the prosecutor's office.

Because the suspect is in custody, it is KOAM/Fox 14's policy to not release the name until charges have been filed.
