Fire destroys home in Joplin

An overnight fire destroys a Joplin home, along with several vehicles.

Crews responded to a single story structure along north turk avenue just after 11 p.m.
Heavy fire and smoke was billowing from the garage and house, causing the roof to collapse. The flames also caused damage to several small vehicles and the nearby shed.

No injuries were reported with the fire, but the American red cross is assisting the owners. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

7 Joplin Fire units and 17 Joplin Fire personnel responded as well as JPD and METS.
