MSSU says Daryl Daye to stay as football coach in 2014

Monday night we reported that Daryl Daye was one of three candidates for the special teams coordinator at LSU.

Tuesday afternoon Missouri Southern State University confirmed that Daye will be staying on to coach the MSSU Lions football team this upcoming season.  Daye has coached the past two seasons at MSSU, compiling a 13-8 mark, including a 7-3 record last season and their their first win over Pittsburg State since 1993.

CBS Sports is reporting that LSU has offered its special teams coordinator job to Kentucky linebackers/special teams coach Bradley Dale Peveto.

    A former Pittsburg Police Officer is sentenced today for aggravated battery. 22-year-old Jesse Davis of Carthage, MO was arrested for an incident that happened on August 26th, 2017. According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, Davis and another officer responded to a domestic disturbance in Pittsburg where a male and female were involved in an altercation.     The Joplin Police Department worked a deadly crash at 7th and Tri State Tuesday evening (April 24). Authorities say 58-year-old Mark Rohr, driving a Dodge Durango, was turning east from the stop sign at 7th and Tri State Road.  38-year-old Donald D. Kidwell III was driving a Kawasaki Ninja westbound on 7th street when he hit the rear driver's side of the Durango.  Kidwell was thrown from the motorcycle.
