NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY THE MIAMI (OKLA.) CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU

(Miami, OK) – The latest in attractions, dining, entertainment and recreational opportunities offered in Miami, Oklahoma are featured in the newly released 2014 edition of the Official Miami Visitor Guide. The full color, 48-page guide will serve as a valuable resource for visitors planning to travel to Miami and the Ottawa County area.

New to the guide in 2014 are updated itineraries for group leaders and information for meeting planners. Readers will find information about the new Charles Banks Wilson Art Gallery on the campus of NEO A&M College. Event owners and those looking for sports facilities in the area will enjoy a new sports section that highlights the special services offered when events are booked through the Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). The new guide continues to highlight the Historic Coleman Theatre and includes information on the new popular Coleman Ballroom & Conference Center.

The Miami Visitor Guide is the official publication of the Miami CVB and according to CVB Executive Director Amanda Davis, requests for the guide continue to increase annually. “The Miami Visitor Guide is the strongest marketing piece we produce. Our goal in this segment of our annual marketing campaign is to get the guide in the hands of prospective leisure travelers, meeting planners, motorcoach bus operators and those looking to bring sporting events to our area” said Davis. “Recruiting new visitor dollars into our city is very important for our tax base. This guide does a great job of telling the very unique story of Miami, Oklahoma.”

Copies of the guide can also be requested through the Oklahoma Travel and Recreation Department atwww.travelok.com. For those traveling along Interstate 44 and throughout Oklahoma, the Miami CVB has placed guides at all Oklahoma travel information centers. The free guide can be ordered by calling the Miami CVB at 918.542.4435. Requests can also be made online at www.visitmiamiok.com.

The Miami CVB is a department of the City of Miami that works to promote Miami as a destination while encouraging the overnight stay.
