Carthage Humane Society featured in web series

Updated:

The Carthage Missouri humane society is featured in a new web series for its pet transport system.

Petsmart Charities along with a California based production company have recently launched a web series that features the journey of homeless dogs being transported to different areas for adoption.

Rescue Waggin': Tales from the Road puts viewers in the passenger' seat of the Rescue Waggin' vehicle to experience the shelter pet transport process from start to finish. The web series chronicles real stories of dogs and puppies from communities with more pets than adopters to communities where adoptable pets are in demand.

The Carthage Humane Society was chosen out of 60 shelters that participate in petsmart charities.

The humane society regularly transports dogs to shelters in Minnesota, and officials say it's worth all the extra labor to find these dogs a good home.

"You start out little and you just get bigger as your go through the program and they see that you're a valid shelter and that you're interested in adopting animals and getting them adopted to good homes." says shelter Director, Glenda Erwin.
