‘Newsmakers’ features Joplin Police Department

Joplin, MO (SNS) – The Joplin Police Department is preparing for a change in leadership at the end of the month, when Chief Lane Roberts retires.

The upcoming “Newsmakers” interview program features Chief Roberts and his successor, Jason Burns. Both discuss their careers in law enforcement and operations of the JPD.

The program will air at the following times on KGCS-TV:

Sunday, March 9 – 5:30 p.m.

Monday, March 10 – 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 12 – 5:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 13 – 5:30 p.m.

The program will repeat in upcoming weeks on KGCS-TV. It will also air at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, on KOAM-TV.

“Newsmakers” is produced by KGCS-TV, a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University. Programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable systems including Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink.
