Pedestrian struck by vehicle near Parsons Restaurant

NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY THE CITY OF PARSONS

PARSONS, KS – Today around noon officers were called to a report of a pedestrian/truck accident near Ernesto’s Mexican Restaurant on Central Ave. A southbound Ford Ranger driven by 62-year-old Evertt L. Couch of Parsons was attempting to switch lanes to make a right hand turn when he struck 36-year-old Macy McNickle also of Parsons. McNickle was not in the crosswalk at the time of the accident. She was transported to Labette Health with unknown injuries. No other injuries were reported.
