Gorillas to Host Drury in Non-Conference Game Wednesday

The Pittsburg State University baseball team will play host to Drury University in a non-conference game at 3 p.m. (CDT) Wednesday (Mar. 19) at Al Ortolani Field.

The Gorillas enter the action with an 8-12 overall record. Pitt State took three of four games from MIAA rival Northeastern State over the weekend. The Panthers are 6-5 heading into a Tuesday match-up against Southwest Baptist University.

Pitt State is hitting .288 as a team and scoring 4.7 runs per game. The Gorillas have a 7.02 team ERA. Senior outfielder Cody Ball leads the squad with a .446 batting average. He has three doubles, four home runs and 18 RBIs on the year.

The Panthers are hitting .291 as a team and scoring 4.8 runs per game. Drury has a 3.24 team ERA amongst its pitching staff.
