Weekend baseball schedule altered

The Missouri Southern baseball program has changed the schedule for this weekend's games at Central Missouri.


With the chance of weather taking a colder turn near the end of the weekend, the Lions and Central Missouri have moved up their games. 

Originally slated to play one game Friday, two Saturday and another on Sunday, the Lions will now play two on Friday and two on Saturday. 

Friday's double-header will begin at 3 pm, while Saturday's twinbill will start at 1 pm.

    Update: Joshua Bard says he sent in a letter of resignation today (April 26th). -- A judge temporarily suspends Joshua Bard from being on the city council. Bard, a newly elected Joplin City Council member, submitted his resignation in early April because of a previous drug conviction. He then reversed his decision to resign.

    Pittsburg State University is cutting 19 positions. PSU officials announced the cuts today (April 26th,2018).
