March Madness means more business - KOAM TV 7

March Madness means more business

Updated:
Local sports bars see an increase in business during March Madness.

Pitchers in Joplin says customers were waiting outside the door Thursday before it opened.

"I mean it was absolutely crazy," said Jordan Turner a bartender at Pitchers.

The sports bar has been planning for the NCAA tournament for weeks. Extra shipments of food and alcohol have been ordered in anticipation of the crowds.

"We prepare, we have our bracket up and ready to go. We also have our drink specials this weekend and we've prepared for this and we're ready to go," said Turner.
