Cherokee Bowhunters practice archery in 3D

'The Hunger Games' movie created a craze for archery. And today in Neosho, that combined with another movie craze, 3D.

The Cherokee Bowhunters Archery Club headed to Fort Crowder archery range for simulated target shooting. Participants experience different scenarios  from distance practice, to shooting from a tree stand.

Each shot is marked on the target for points.
The club president says with  help of the hunger games movie...archery is becoming a lifetime sport.

"You can be proficient, but you can always be growing. And can always learn new stuff everyday. There is so many different things you can learn." Matthew Gideon explains.

The archery club holds its 3D archery every 4th Sunday of the month.
