Three suspects arrested in connection to Labette County burglary

Updated:
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE LABETTE COUNTY SHERIFF:

On March 26, 2014, at 11:45 hrs., 911 Dispatch received a report of a residential burglary in progress, located at 562 2000 Road (southwest of Edna).

As deputies responded to the residence, two men were reported to have fled the residence on foot into surrounding acreage. A woman in a pickup truck was also reported to have driven away from the area.

Upon deputies, with both the Labette County Sheriff Department and Montgomery County Sheriff Department, arriving in the area, the woman and truck were located and taken into custody. Additional units, including K-9 units, responded to the area to conduct a saturated patrol and to conduct a search of the acreage surrounding the residence. Discarded property taken from the residence was recovered during the search of the acreage, but not the men.

As the search continued, the men were later located near the Coffeyville Walmart, where they were taken into custody by the Coffeyville Police Department. Afterwards, the men were transported to the Labette County Jail.

The individuals are currently being held without bond, pending formal charges.
