Pitt State Athletics Hosts Chili Dog Cook Off

Pitt State Athletics is calling all cooks and tailgaters to participate in its first ever Chili Dog Cook off to take place during the baseball game against Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday, April 19.

There is no better stadium food than a chili dog and now is the time for Gorilla fans to perfect their recipe and compete for prizes. There is a $20 registration fee to compete. A panel of three local celebrity judges will determine the winners. First place will receive $100, second, $50 and third, $20. There will also be a People's Choice Award.

Pitt State fans will be able to take part in the voting for the People Choice Award by tasting the chili from each of the contestants and submitting a ticket to vote for their favorite. Fans will also have the opportunity after the judging to purchase a meal of their favorite chili dog, chips and a drink for $7.
