One man was flown to a Joplin hospital following a crash Monday morning south of Pittsburg.
Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves says at 6:10 a.m. a vehicle Corey Jones was riding in was northbound on Highway 69 when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle. The collision occurred 1/4 mile north of Coal Valley Road on U.S. 69.
Jones, 33, had to be extricated by emergency crews and was flown to a Joplin hospital. The 36-year-old driver of that vehicle, Willie Jones, was taken by ambulance to a Joplin hospital with injuries.
Austin Greninger, the 26-year-old driver driver of the vehicle that was hit, and a six-year-old girl, Journee Greninger, were also taken by ambulance to a Joplin hospital with injuries.
All four involved were from Pittsburg and were wearing their seatbelts.
