The Pittsburg State University men's golf team finished day one action of the University of Central Oklahoma Broncho Invitational in 11th place among 12 schools Monday (Mar. 31).
The Gorillas posted rounds of 328 and 316 to finish 36 holes of competition with a 644 team score. The host school, UCO, finished the day with a low score of 587, six strokes ahead of second place University of Central Missouri (593).
The field will wrap up the 54-hole competition at Gaillardia Country Club with a final 18-hole round Tuesday.
Individually, Zach Fate shot rounds of 82 and 78 to finish in a tie for 38th place with a 160 score. Jordan Dunham (84-77) and Brandon Winfrey (78-83) finished with 161s.
