PSU Golfers Finish Fifth @ Bethel Invitational

PRESS RELEASE PSU: 

The Pittsburg State University men's golf team finished in a tie for fifth place among 16 schools at the Bethel Spring Invitational Sunday (Mar. 30). The Gorillas finished the 36-hole competition with a 648 team score at Sand Creek Golf Club.

Bethany College won the meet with a low score of 600, followed by Kansas City Kansas Community College (639), Doane College (644) and Ottawa University (645). The Gorillas tied with Dakota Wesleyan University at 648.

Jordan Dunham and Brandon Winfrey paced Pitt State with 161 scores with each athlete finishing in a tie for 20th place among individuals. Dunham and Winfrey both posted rounds of 76 Saturday and 85 on Sunday.

The Gorillas now will compete in the Central Oklahoma Broncho Invitational Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 31 - Apr. 1). The 54-hole competition takes place at Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City.
