Joplin hosts live cooking show for locals

Updated:
Joplin hosted about 40 vendors in the food business today at the Taste of Home Cooking Show. Attendees shopped, sampled and watched a live cooking show. Culinary specialist Jamie Dunn prepared recipes and offered some tips on how she cooks light and healthy for spring.

"When we do our recipes we always offer healthy options, so we might have you switching out ground beef for mushrooms, we might use things like lighter sour cream, lighter cream cheese, taking out some of the calories by alleviating the oil or dropping out the butter, so we always like to offer options for all different kinds of things that you can do."
