Nearly 180 kids participate in Pittsburg's Mini Warrior Dash

Today in Pittsburg, Schlanger Park got a little closer to funding their new "Everybody Plays" handicap accessible playground.
Nearly 180 kids participated in the 2nd annual Mini Warrior Dash, with all registration fees benefiting the new playground.
The dash was nearly a mile long and included 12 different obstacles, including a great deal of water and mud.
Each race was divided by age group, the youngest being age 5.
The kids who participated say they enjoyed having the chance to play outside.
"It's good for you and it's so fun," said 11-year-old Patrick O'Connell.
"I feel like it's going to be fun and I'm going to get muddy!" said 11-year-old Rebecca Jones.
The Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department and Everybody Plays Committee are hoping to continue to raise donations to fund the installation of the new playground equipment.
