Iola man sentenced to 7 ½ years for manufacturing meth

IOLA – (April 7, 2014) – An Iola man was sentenced today to 7 ½ years in prison for manufacturing methamphetamine, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.

Christopher Lee Trautloff, 30, was sentenced to 90 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections by Allen County District Judge Daniel Dale Creitz. Trautloff pleaded no contest to the charge in February.

The charge stemmed from a January 2013 investigation by the Iola Police Department, Allen County Sheriff’s Office and Kansas Department of Investigation. Assistant Attorney General Steve Wilhoft of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
