Storage facility burglary near Sarcoxie under investigation

NEWS RELEASE FROM THE JASPER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary of a storage facility near Sarcoxie, MO, which occurred in the early morning hours of March 30th, 2014. Multiple units were broken in to and miscellaneous items stolen, including a large collection of Precious Moments figurines, a large collection of Hot Wheels cars and other collectible toy cars.

The suspect vehicle appears to be a late 1990’s or early 2000’s model Chevrolet pickup truck, single cab, long bed, white in color. This vehicle was pulling a dark colored trailer with white wheels and wooden sideboards on the bed.

If anyone has information on either the stolen items or the suspect vehicle, please contact Detective Ayres at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office at 417-358-8177, Extension 1298 or call the TIPS line at 417-358-8477 to leave anonymous information.

    The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Golden, Missouri man has died in a single-vehicle crash on May 22nd, 2018. The crash happened around 3:35 p.m. in Barry County, MO. According to the MSHP, 65-year-old Dale C. Shepard was driving on MO 86, about one mile west of Golden, when he drove off the road and hit several trees. Authorities say he died at the scene. This is MSHP Troop D's 42nd fatality accident for 2018.More >>
