PSU Alumni Association establishes partnership with INTRUST bank

The Pittsburg State University Alumni Association has announced the completion of an agreement giving INTRUST Bank exclusive rights to market a Pitt-State-branded Visa® credit card to its alumni and friends. The structure of the contract provides the Alumni Association with a steady revenue source that will assist with the cost of alumni programs and events.

“I am excited that this card will not only offer our alumni and supporters a great value and opportunity to show their PSU pride, but it will also help us continue our programming and events with the same level of quality, despite tight budgets in the state,” said Jon Bartlow, executive director of the PSU Alumni Association. “Every time one of our supporters uses their card, funding will be generated.”

The long-term agreement brings to 15 the number of universities and organizations under exclusive contract with Wichita-based INTRUST Bank, including all seven Kansas regents’ universities.

“With our roots in Kansas,” said Rod Pitts, division director, INTRUST Bank, “we are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Pittsburg State. We look forward to providing excellent customer service to alumni and friends for years to come.”

    The state of Kansas now has a Republican nominee for Governor. What has been a roller coaster primary between Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer and Secretary of State Kris Kobach, Colyer announced today he is conceding defeat and is endorsing Kobach. Kobach will face the Democratic nominee Laura Kelly.  Governor Colyer was elevated from his position after former Kansas Governor Sam Brownback took an ambassador's position.

    A Springfield man was indicted by a federal grand jury today (Aug 14, 2018) for making a bomb threat at a Veterans Affairs Clinic. 48-year-old Richard Leslie Turner III allegedly threatened to blow up the Community Based Outpatient Clinic located at 600 N. Main Street in Mount Vernon, Missouri.
