Softball Weekend Schedule Changed

Updated:
Press Release PSU:

Due to forecasted storms in the Pittsburg area on Sunday, the Pitt State softball team has altered its weekend schedule.

Sunday's doubleheader against Nebraska-Kearney has been moved to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, April 11. Saturday's doubleheader against Fort Hays State will still take place at noon and 2 p.m. as scheduled, but the activities for the game have changed. Saturday will be the Gorillas annual Melanoma Awareness game and Senior Day.

Pitt State fans are encouraged to wear black to the game, the American Cancer Society's color for melanoma. Via Christi will be doing skin cancer screenings and will have sun screen and other giveaways available. Between games of the doubleheader, the team will honor seniors Brenna George, Haleigh Sills, Sam Grove and Tiffany Brown.
