Annual Easter egg hunt attracts many in Joplin

Updated:
Many 4-state kids got a jump start to Easter at the annual Easter Egg Hunt put on by Freeman Health Center.

Baskets in hand, children rushed the soccer field at the Joplin Athletic Center to grab as many eggs as they could.

The annual event show thanks to hospital employees and their families. Children of all ages participated, claiming a totaling of 11,000 eggs spread out on the field. According to Tiffany Stout, the little ones were eager to get their candy.

"It is over in an instant. These kids, they are ready to hunt."
