Reed Sets School Record in 6th Annual David Suenram Gorilla Classic

Pittsburg - Antqunita Reed won a pair of events, including a school record breaking performance in one discipline, to lead the Pittsburg State University women's outdoor track & field team to a solid day's work in the Sixth Annual David Suenram Gorilla Classic.

Reed, also an All-MIAA member of the Pitt State women's basketball team, broke the Prentice Gudgen Track record as well as the Pitt State outdoor mark in the triple jump with a winning mark of 41 feet, 6.5 inches. Her mark is unofficially the fourth-best in NCAA Division II this season. She also raced to victory in the 100 meters in 12.00 seconds, also a provisional qualifying mark.

In all, the Gorillas posted seven NCAA qualifying marks on the day.
