PSU ROTC Create Obstacle Course Showing Rigors of Training with Gorilla Dash

Updated:

Runners got a taste of the rigor faced by soldiers at the Pittsburg State University  gorilla dash sponsored by the PSU ROTC program.
Individually or in teams, participants completed ten different obstacles in the course.
From jumping hay bales, to trenching through mud, the Pittsburg State gorilla dash is an intense version of a 5-k run.
All proceeds benefit the SFC Robertson scholarship fund, which is in  honor of a former student who was killed last November serving in Afghanistan.

PSU Senior Jon Fatkin, an ROTC member says, "If we can have a scholarship that people work and strive to achieve, then that would mean a lot to me because Sergeant Rob was someone that was special to me, and I don't want 10 years from now for people to ask who he was. He was so dedicated to this program and this university as a whole.  I just never want to see his name go away. I want him to live here forever."
If you would like to make a donation to the sfc robertson scholarship fund, you can send it to the army ROTC gorilla battalion program at Pittsburg State.
