PRESS RELEASE CROWDER COLLEGE:

The Roughrider Baseball team is ranked #11 in NJCAA polls (April 15, 2014). They defeated #5 Neosho County yesterday, 4-0, in a 9 inning game. They will play Three Rivers for a 4 game series this Friday/Saturday, April 18-19. The Roughriders are now 34-10 on the season, 16-4 in Region 16 play. They will play at home on April 22 at 2pm vs. Eastern Oklahoma. Sophomore recognition will be held Sunday, April 27 prior to the 1pm game.


The Lady ‘Riders, now 35-10 on the season, 15-3 in Region 16, will play at North Central Friday, April 18. Recognition of Sophomores will be held Tuesday, April 22, prior to the Coffeyville game. The Lady ‘Riders will play in Columbia, MO, April 25-26 in the Region 16 tournament.

    Pittsburg State University baseball head coach Tom Myers can’t stop smiling. And he has good reason. Thanks to the generosity of several anonymous donors, the university is installing new turf on its baseball and softball fields. The summer project will provide a wall-to-wall AstroTurf brand synthetic turf on all playing surfaces, batting cages and bullpen areas. The turf will be similar to that currently in use at Carnie Smith Stadium and the Robert W.
