Update (11/5): Today Brian Taylor waived his preliminary and is bound over for a trial. He will have an arraignment in February - According to Crawford County Prosecutor Michael Gayoso. This took place in Pittsburg.

Brian L. Taylor has been arrested after authorities say he stabbed Jeff Terwilliger.  Girard Police and Crawford County Sheriff's Office took Taylor into custody on Thursday.

On Friday, Taylor was charged with attempted first degree murder or the alternative aggravated battery and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

On Thursday April 17, 2014 at about 5:27pm, 42 year old Brian L. Taylor of Girard, Kansas was arrested for attempted first degree murder without incident by the Girard Police Departmment and Crawford County Sheriff's Office.

Mr. Taylor was arrested on the alleged stabbing of a Jeff Terwilliger that occurred on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at about 5:50pm. The Girard Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff were dispatched to a fight in the 200 block of North Ozark Street in Girard, Kansas. Before officers could arrive on scene, the victim was discovered walking in front of Girard City Hall, with apparent wounds. Officers rendered aid until Crawford County EMS arrived on scene. The victim was later identified as Jeff Terwilliger 42 year old male who lives in Girard Kansas with alleged injuries from a knife. Mr. Terwilliger was transported by EMS to Girard Medical Center and was later life-flighted to a Joplin Hospital.

The incident is still under investigation by the Girard Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriffs Office.

On Wednesday April 16, 2014 at about 5:50 P.M. the Girard Police Department and Crawford County Sheriffs Office were dispatched to a fight in the 200 block of North Ozark Street in Girard, Kansas.

Before officers could arrive on scene, the victim was discovered walking in front of Girard City Hall, with apparent wounds.  Officers rendered aid until Crawford County EMS arrived on scene.

The victim was later identified as a Jeff Terwilliger, 42 year old male who lives in Girard, Kansas, with alleged injuries from a knife.  Mr. Terwilliger was transported by EMS to the Girard Medical Center and was later life-flighted to a hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

No arrests have been made at this time and the incident is still under investigation by the Girard Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriffs Office.
