Miami, Okla. – Thursday, April 17, 2014 – The Staff Association at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO), announced Kyle Kennon and Elaine Lovesee as the Staff Members of the Month for March and April for their excellent work ethic and compassion toward NEO.

Kennon is a postman for the NEO post office. This is considered an official post office because it is governed by the federal Postal Service, and he comes in an hour early every morning to ensure his work is organized. He sells stamps, handles mail, deals with partials and has to handle UPS and FedEx packages that come in before 3 p.m.

“Kyle is always cheery and congenial when I work with him. He does a great job keeping our mail system operable. He always has a smile when you see him. He is one of those people who will go the extra mile for both the employees and the students,” one nominator said. “He works very hard to keep all of our mail deliveries on track and probably gets very few thanks yous.”

Kennon enjoys working in his yard in his free time and likes to sit on the deck with his wife, Nancy Kennon and bird watch together. Nancy is an admissions clerk for NEO. They have five grandchildren, four girls and one boy, and enjoy spending time with them as well. They reside in Grove.

Lovesee is a custodian for NEO and keeps the building and restrooms clean for classes, programs, and other events. However, her hard work doesn’t stop at NEO. As soon as she leaves, she goes to Eastwood Manor and helps the nursing home, delivering ice and visiting with the older residents there. Lovesee said she likes to make their day a little brighter and donate her time to them.

Lovesee has a soft spot for animals and has adopted and fostered many pets that were abandoned.

She lives in Commerce and has been happily married to her high school sweetheart for 43 years and has six grandchildren.

Evan Jewsbury, human resources director said, “Elaine does a great job keeping things top notch. She always greets her coworkers and the students with a smile no matter what the situation. She takes great pride in NEO, and it shows in her work. She is always very quick to help out the student organizations in any way possible.”
