This year's market offers goods and wares from local artists, bakers and organic farmers. Organizers strive to support sustainability and businesses in Southeast Kansas, as every producer at the market is based within a 75-mile radius. Organizers tout the new pavillion-style location for its space and coverage and said this season will offer more than years prior.
"It provides a fantastic place for people to meet, it keeps the sun and the rain off of our vendors it allows an open area," said Jill Campbell.
The farmers' market will be open every Saturday from 7:30 to noon at 11th and Broadway for the season. It will also be held on some Wednesdays, as announced.
