Because of eleven snow days this year, Webb city schools were in session Saturday morning, making up some lost time.
The school board decided to make up the hours on a Saturday, rather than adding an extra day at the end of the school year.
Classes began at 7:45 am and ended by eleven.
The high school is on a block schedule system, so each class was only around forty-five minutes instead of the usual length of more than an hour.
Many students say they would rather have a make up day when it's rainy like it was Saturday morning, than on a summer day.
Sophomore Kolesen CraeCranes, "I don't enjoy going to school on a Saturday but I think it's beneficial to us cause we don't have to go later into the summer, we can just get it over with now." And senior Lydia Proctor says, "I mean, we probably would all be sleeping right now to be honest, but it's not as bad as everybody makes it out to be, we'll be okay. "
