Possible bank robbery prevented by suspects 911 pocket dial

Updated:
Three burglary suspects are arrested after police say one of the suspects accidentally dialed 911 on their cell phone.

A 911 dispatcher took the call on Thursday.  Joplin police say no one addressed the dispatcher but the operator heard background voices talking about going to a bank.

An officer located the vehicle in a bank parking lot near 7th and Virginia and recognized the three people inside as suspects in an earlier burglary

Charges have not yet been filed.

Police say they are still looking for a fourth suspect.
