Children at local daycare centers craft gifts for Mother's Day

Updated:
With Mother's Day on Sunday, many preschool students spent the day crafting special gifts for mom.

Ages 2 through 5, little ones at Curiosity Corner Learning Center have had mom on their mind all week.
Some classes also took home gifts earlier in the week.
The 2-year-olds made colored paper flowers and the 3-year-olds decorated tea pots.
"The 4-year-olds were a little bit more elaborate," said Shea Vogt, Owner of Curiosity Corner Learning Center.  "They made gifts for their parents' cars to hang on the rear view mirrors."
Many of the students also worked on handmade cards.
"They make them a Mother's Day card, so they can be so happy!" said a 4-year-old.
The kids say they are always happy to spend time with their moms.
Those who work at the daycare say it is important to teach children at a young age to appreciate those who support them in life.
"They all love their mommies and are so excited to give them gifts," Vogt said.  "I think it's important for the moms too, to know that they're being thought about."
And that they are greatly appreciated and loved.
"Happy Mother's Day," said 5-year-old Caleb Taylor.
"I love you, Mom," said 5-year-old Sohan Bhatt.
Local daycares say they will soon be gearing up for Father's Day.
